meant neighbor. It was neighbor helping neighbor . Neighbors

needed each other to survive. They built things together and went to church together.

Most everyone worked. There were wars and people divided and separated more and more.

We thought our grandpa was going to die when we moved from North Texas to South Texas.

He came to help move us back and he did die.. We moved back to South East Texas.

Families began to change their names and add new names and now we have the

identity crises where people try to use the identity of someone else. They did not

have that problem in the early days because John knew John and neighbor knew

neighbor. They held dances, etc and different families met from different areas in

order to find someone to marry outside their own family. Sadly people who do not

understand change things to add and take away the true meaning.. Next time you hear

the word John regardless of the language you hear it in remember the thought and

early times when John meant neighbor helping neighbor. Also please remember the

times that Jesus used the word John which later became Johns. We have a large

number of missionaries in our family and we pray that you will become one to and

begin in your own neighborhood.
